How to play
The game is simple: guests answer questions about the bride, then find out how well they really know her. It works at any size shower and takes about 15 to 20 minutes.
- About a week before the shower, choose your questions and send them to the bride. Ask for short answers, a word or two each.
- Type her answers into the maker. They print only on the answer key, so you can leave quiz sheets on the table without spoiling anything.
- At the shower, hand every guest a quiz and a pen. Give them about 10 minutes.
- Read each question aloud and let the bride give her answer herself. This is the fun part, since she may add the story behind it.
- Guests mark their own sheets. Highest score wins.
Can’t get answers from the bride without tipping her off? Ask her partner, her mom or her sister. Just know that the answer to “who said ‘I love you’ first” can start a debate.
Scoring and tiebreakers
Give one point for each answer that matches. Be generous with close calls: “Italian” for “lasagna” is worth arguing about, and the bride gets the final say.
For a tie, use one of the number questions at the end of this list. Whoever guesses closest wins. It settles things fast and nobody has to redo anything.
A short quiz of 20 questions usually produces a clear winner. Longer than 25 and people start to drift, especially after lunch.
How to choose the right questions
Match the questions to the guest list. If the room is mostly her family and oldest friends, go heavy on growing up and favorites. If there are coworkers and her partner’s relatives who’ve met her twice, add more love-story and wedding questions, since those are fair game for anyone who’s heard the proposal story.
Mix easy and hard. A few questions everyone gets right (her maid of honor, her coffee order) keep new guests from feeling lost. A few that only her sister will know make the winner earn it.
Skip anything that could embarrass her in front of her grandmother or her future in-laws. Exes, weight, money and family drama don’t belong on a shower quiz.
We wrote these with “her fiancé,” but swap in the partner’s name, or use them for a groom or a two-bride couple with a few quick edits.

Three fun ways to run it
The classic quiz
Everyone answers on paper, then the bride reads her answers out loud. It’s the easiest version and works for any crowd from 6 to 50. Print one quiz per guest.
Team battle
Split guests into two teams, like her side of the family against her friends, or college friends against work friends. Each team fills in one sheet together. It’s quicker, it’s louder, and quieter guests don’t feel put on the spot. Print one sheet per team plus a few spares for scratch work.
The bride takes the quiz
Flip it. Ask her fiancé 10 to 15 of these questions ahead of time, then have the bride guess how her fiancé answered. For every miss, she eats a gumball or adds a piece of bubble gum, and by the end she has a mouthful and a very pink photo. Keep the gum count reasonable; five or six misses is plenty for a good laugh. Our he said she said game is another way to put both halves of the couple in the spotlight.
